Back in 1999, Wizards of the Coast ran an internal test print using a Cosmos holofoil pattern on Fossil cards to preview the foiling for Base Set 2.
These test prints were never put into booster packs or sold in stores. Instead, a tiny batch was leaked by former WOTC employees.
